Introduction

This course teaches medical biology with a focus on human biology and physiology by studying human organ systems through experimentation. By designing experiments and measuring the activity of the upper respiratory tract, lungs, heart, nervous system, and musculoskeletal system, students will learn the theories and practices underlying medical diagnosis. Several experiments also study the response of the human body to stress or external influences. Upon completion, students will have the option to enter their final projects into a science fair competition in the category of physiology or medical biology.
