The focus of this course is historical fiction. Students will collaboratively explore selected historical fiction novels, then further demonstrate their critical and analytical thinking through writing a well-researched historical fiction short story involving a major STEM innovator.

The second unit of this course begins Thursday, April 12th and will last five weeks. Students will work in a simulated professional writer's workshop in which they will brainstorm, research, draft, edit, revise, and publish their work just as authors do.
